Top 3

Sweet baby Yeezus I can’t believe I haven’t written anything since May!
Mind you, I wasn’t doing anything more important or exciting, I was simply being lazy. Oh well. I wanted to do a post about the Golden Globes, but it’s been 6 days and I’m over it. Everyone looked fabulous, except for Jane Fonda (We get it, you’re 77 and look great. Stop dressing like a slut) and my girl Lana (Mermaid chic is NOT a thing) and Keira Knightly and Rosamund Pike…ok a lot of people looked like shit, but you can do your own researching if you need hard evidence (E!Online, Celebuzz). Don’t say I didn’t warn you. Also, George Clooney’s speech was perfection and I almost cried. Ok I’m done. Onto the Top 3…

3. Great Movies
So this kind of has to do with the Golden Globes…Oh well. SO MANY MOVIES!! It’s like Oprah was giving away screen plays in 2014 (more like 2012 when production started) and brilliant actors were getting their shit together. Unfortunately I haven’t seen most of this year’s nominations/winners because I’ve been too busy watching Criminal Minds and starting projects that I don’t plan on finishing. Fortunately this gives me something to do for the next few weeks (days) and I can make some use out of On Demand (sorry about the charges mom) and my Regal Crown Club card that I have zero understanding of. Which ones am I most excited to see? Boyhood looks amazing and I love Ethan Hawke, plus Richard Linklater spent 12 years producing the film so it deserves to be watched by everyone. I’m also excited about Wild, Birdman, Saint Vincent, Selma, The Theory of Everything, Cake, Inherent Vice…ok I basically want to see all of them. There’s also a lot of new movies coming out in theaters soon that I need to see like American Sniper. I know what I’ll be doing for the rest of this disgusting winter.

2. Makeup (it’s not so scary)

I’ve always been one of those girls who didn’t really wear makeup, aside from the occasional mascara or lipstick. Before you roll your eyes, let me state that this is not one of those “oh I just don’t need makeup because my face is perfect and life is fabulous” situations. Not even close. I just never knew how to do it. I once wore blue eyeshadow to school when I was 13. Needless to say, I was scarred. I guess the wound has healed because as of late I’ve really been getting into the whole looking-presentable-for-life thing. Hours and hours of Youtube videos later (seriously, there are SO many about makeup) I started to attempt to create a “look” for myself. I’m still working on it, baby steps ok? But as of right now I’m working on brown eyeliner (more natural look) pressed into my lash line, filling in my brows and using a highlighter. It’s all I can handle right now and I think I’m doing pretty well if I do say so myself. Meaning, no one has given me the look of death…yet.

1. My Shows Are Back
I hate, no, I ABHOR the fact that cable tv shows go on hiatus during the holiday season. Sorry but I really don’t want to hang out with my family and I’m not working, so this would be the PERFECT time to air new episodes. Apparently I’m the only one who thinks so. Alas, the holidays are over and my shows (most of them) are back. I have New Girl, Mindy, About a Boy, MasterChef Jr. and Parks & Rec (FINALLY) back on Tuesdays (thank Yeezus for DVR); Criminal Minds, Modern Family, Workaholics and Broad City on Wednesdays; Thursdays are for DVR’d shows; and Shark Tank to wrap up the week on Friday! Even the weekends keep me going with SNL on Saturday (duh) and Girls on Sunday night. All is good again. And it’s nice to have something new to look forward to besides sleep…
